Relative – I wrote after watching “Slum dog millionaire” and not being able to get the visions out of my mind of how so many people live on this planet. Seeing their hardships touches a compassionate place that makes it hard not to want to help.
lyrics
RELATIVE
They say that things are relative
We need to take we ought to give
And though we may be miles apart
You’re singing here, right in my heart
Because you are a relative
They say that things are meant to be
But I see you, you can’t see me
And I can turn the other cheek
Lose myself, plan my week
Is that how things are meant to be
Oh…….
They say somewhere we all are one
Yet some believe there’s just one son
But we should not deny a child
The gates of heaven must be wide
By closing them nothing’s won
Oh……
