Try to fly – Was inspired by my niece who in college is in the prime of her life and although feels serious pressures about her future has all her doors open. I wanted to make light of her worries and simply fly with it.
lyrics
TRY TO FLY
Looking out the window wanting to fly
Don’t know where my wings are but I’m gonna find them
Soar way up and over all of the trees
You can wave goodbye to me
With my brand new wings
They’ll take me so far
Leaving small reminders of where I was
I will take some pictures along the way
Place them in a picture book
And I will try to fly
The sky is so wide open
I’m gonna try to fly
The sky is so wide open
blue and white
There’s a whole wide world that I need to find
I won’t leave a corner of it behind
Check out every mountain valley so low
Do you want to go
And we can try to fly
The sky is so wide open
Try to fly
The sky is so wide open
blue and white….
Take off
It’s another sunrise
